- Timing at signal cycle is not done in adequate for pedestrians
- Enforcement is very weak
- Lack of coordination between road department and other related agencies

- Obstruction free footpaths throughout the city
- Functional pedestrian signals at the major junctions
- Good quality usable and safe pedestrian facilities all over the city
- Footpaths should have basic amenities like functional toilets, trash bins, seating benches with shades, streetlights, etc.
- Well-marked and visible zebra crossing at every signal
- Designated safe crossing at every street and installation of midblock crosswalks at major streets in the city
- Strict action against the illegally parked vehicles on the footpaths
